use directionla light, and u dont use less two lights, change light color to scene finally usually use blue and yellow color on light

it has many diffrent way to animation render, get mental ray lessons and watch how to make animation render in maya production good luck..

it looks good but u can get perfect render with light maybe one more try hah!

i understand that ur problem its about bone rotate so bone not in the same line u have to use just move transport when ur setup ur bone
