I think you can just delete history and freeze transformations after applying transforms and before changing attributes.

Not sure about mac but in windows you can delete/rename preferences folder and that will force Maya to restore itself to default settings. This might be worth trying. If that won't help I'd try...

Try restoring preferences to default.

If you mean Attributes Editor, you can access it by clicking on the first button(from left) in the top right hand corner (just under "0:55" on your screenshot) or by pressing CTRL+A.

Thank you ctbram for taking time and helping me out. Reversing the direction of one of the curves fixed this for me. I use 2012 version of Maya.
