i went up to 8.4 without problems.
i wish it was DirectX. they could make it openGL for Mac and Linux.

there is an ATI bug (or so i read on CGPersia) which makes the rotate manipulator not work properly.
eg: after rotating in X, it is impossible to then grab the Y circle and move that, it...
