I have made a polygon, but I can´t edit it lwith cut faces tool or split polygon tool, what´s wrong. It worked yesterday, but suddenly it just stopped. Even if I restart or make a new project it...

I´m veery new at maya but I make a polygon and covert this to Subdiv.

Why can´t I get back to my original polygon when I convert back form Subdiv to Polygon like I didi in maya 7
