In the case you describe you would just use the word "more".
ie ..more green,dense and heavier than.
if it's intense....it's more intense , you can't say intenser.
You can never go wrong with saying "more green" or "more hot" as it will not be wrong even though you could say "greener" or "hotter"....both are correct.
