I down own that DVD but...I imagine that its an expression similar to the one used in the visor paper burn example. I made a 3d version of that, but I'm working out one or two kinks....

Basically, all you do is in the expression you're getting the temperature attribute and putting the numbers in whatever attributes are in your 3d container.
