The radio control has a range of 1klm but you really wouldn't be able to see which way its facing at that range. So basically you can fly the model as far as you can see it.

The spycam keeps dropping out during some turns and if you fly too far away you lose the signal. Once I extend the range it should work fine.

Its really good fun to fly Radio Control models, but if you do plan on doing it, join a club first . . it will save you destroying your first model.
