I built a new computer a couple weeks ago and it rocks with Maya! It's based on the Asus P4PE mobo (single cpu...the first intel board to support DDR333). Running a 2.53GHz cpu with 120GB HD, 512 Corsair XMS Ram, and an MSI ti4200 vid card 128MB. Maya loads and runs very quickly...haven't had any problems yet. One thing though: I'm still a newbie with Maya so I haven't done any super-intensive modeling or rendering. I can't really say how it would perform under those conditions but so far it's been very efficient in doing tutorials and experimenting.
