If it's only scene related, you can export your scene data, and import it into another NEW scene, and save that, and see if it works. Just an idea I used to have a similar problem with my render globals (AND maya did not want to render at all) when I use any kind of Fluids... I havent tried fluids in a while so I dont know if it still does it..but it was very bad! -Emo
