Well I have a bussines related question like the threadtitle suggested:

I have been thinking about something for some time now and that basically is making a 4 part animation saga based on an existing franchise /IP, now I know that it is very difficult to get even 1 movie made, but I just want to know where to start...

If you know why I want to make a movie, I have been thinking lately ( a very rare occurance indeed ) and am wondering why I am making a showreel, I know that it is because I want to work in the CG industry, but having worked for others/companies for the past 12-14 years has made me realise that working for others isn't something I like to be doing for the rest of my life ( since you are always dependant on a supervisor seeing your commitment/hard work which isn't always judged to it's value), but it could be that I have just worked at the wrong companies .

I am also inspired after reading a " little" book called the illusion of life ( a must read) which leads me to believe that anything is possible if you apply yourself to it.

SO if someone has some sensible tips please let me know.
