Fur balls take ages to render with MR. But at least the reflections are accurate. Shadows and all, but takes ages.
I think I'll rely on Software rendering for scenes that don't require accurate reflections and on MR when I need to render something with special effects.
Now I'm really wondering if I should give my characters actual hair or just resort to what the usual animated movie creators do and make the hair out of a mesh unless I'm making fuzzy creatures. How would I control that though or make it look realistic?
