Hi Guys

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, or if it is a setting somewhere, but in Maya 2012, When I have a bunch of splines, and I just want to Move one of the Control Points on one of the splines in component mode, If I draw a rectangle selection, it selects the other splines and then moves that spline as well.

I also seem to be having the same problem with polygons, selecting vertices and it selects a separate polygon object and then moves that object, when it shouldn't move. Also I cannot deselect that object, I'm just stuck with it moving when I'm trying to move the other verts.

It is quite annoying

Any ideas?
