I need to make a few vehicle models and I don't have any blueprints for them. I have some plastic models I think might help me though. My questions are, if I were to take pics of the models i.e. top, frt, and side and doc them up in photo or even paint do you think this will work? My concerns are that the models are so small (plastic and metal vehicles models) that I won't be able to zoom in close enough in Maya to get a clear enough picture. Imagine taking pics of a plastic put together model like you buy from the hobby store and modeling from that but also taking pics like blueprint pics and using them in maya. What do you think?
