Hey guys, my current rig is very old (2006 i think) and im looking into buying a new one. I've looked into some parts to build my own but I was just wondering what I should be looking for when buying. I need it to run Maya (2012 and up), Houdini FX, and some Adobe stuff. Product suggestions and specs would be greatly appreciated. My Price range is $1000-1500 CAD.

Some of the stuff i've been looking at:
- ASUS 750ti
- Intel i5 3670 (3.8 TurboBoost)
