This sounds like a stupid question and it is....but is there any difference between me creating say for instance a nurbs plane in dynamics mode VS a nurbs plane in modelling mode....

The maya fundamentals book I'm going through at the moment says..."make sure you're in modelling mode and then select....etc etc.."

But if I use the hotbox I still can create a nurbsplane in dynamics mode or whichever mode.....

any difference?
