That wet look takes away the from the identity of a large winged reptile. If he was a water based dragon (and probably without wings if so) then the skin would look really good for that, if thats what look you are going for its a suggestion. I just read this thread from start to this page and it was really nice to see the progression of your creature =) I hope you continue with updates.
