Hello & Dragon Tut WIP
Hello everyone
First, I would like to thank Kurt Boutilier for that awsome dragon tutorial. I really liked the way you set up that tutorial and all the great details you explained throughout the tut.
Your tutorial was greatly apreciated, sir!
I am a complete beginner with 3D applications - and this is basically my first attempt of modeling something in Maya. Ok, I've completed some of the tutorials that came with the CD. But I found those a little bit boring most of the time.
I downloaded all the parts of the dragon tut last night, and yeah, I was up pulling and pushing vertices, splitting polygons, and extruding faces for the last ehm... 8 hours or so... I had lots of fun, and I believe that I am starting to get the hang of Maya.
I am really tired now, and I'm sure that I'm going to dream about those darn polys and vertices - lol
Ah well, I'll stop wasting your guy's time n bandwidth, and go to bed. When I get up of course I will immediately continue adding the finesses (hope I get to manage those too
)
Here's where I got so far with modeling dragon. It's probably going to turn out a little bit different then the original, but I guess that's ok.

I'll keep you updated with my progress throughout this tut - of course only if it is ok.
Again, thank you SM for all the help. I'm glad I found this great site with such a friendly and helpful community. Lots of pro's here. Kinda scary ;-)
You all keep the good work up.
