Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

im trying to add some details in the connections between objects and the ground plane...

I also changed the bumpmap level

EDIT: fixed black box problem (I had done an area render in that spot, and my crappy monitor can't see the difference between the black sky and the slightly different shade in that area)

Hi,

Looks cool!

Maybe it's just me, but in that first pics above, on the right side of the scene right above the trees there is a little black square something that dose not look right.

Other then that, keep up the good work user added image

Have you seen that Christmas movie about the snowman that steals the flute? I forget the name, but this reminds of that.
I think it was done in Lightwave. Very cool story and animation.
Space scenes and military vehicles get a little redundant. This is nice.

haha- you better finish the matrix animation- I want a full fight scene with an evil gingerbread man by next term!

It came out really good, I know you had problems with the snow, but I think the whole scene rocks.

where's the button that makes this look
good?

I like it it's turned out well. I'd be tempted though to tint the whole thing ever so slightly blue and make the shadows a little darker. That would make it feel a little more like night time. AT the moment there doesnt quite seem to be enough contrast in the image for it to be at night.

Apart from that well done

This is a thread from 2004. It's better if you start one.
