sunlight simulator

Is there a sunlight simulator plug-in available for maya 5 in wich I can input the location date and time and it calculates the direction from the sun?

Seems a bit of over kill, but no I haven't sean anything like this. Although it is posible in mel if you have the tables or couculations. I'm wandering what this is for ?

I need it for my schoolprojects (I study architecture), for realistic daylight renderings. I know there was one for maya 4.5 (saw it once)

the one thing close to a simulating a skylight is a plugin on t be pixho site... gi_joe might be able do pull it off.
and if u use FG (with no ambient) with good basic point lights u will get good result, and for the sunlight coming in, u can use area light or spot light mid intensity and emitting GI photons
