Could you please post the names of those that you used? I tried every single grass that comes with 4.02 but couldnt get any of them to look as nice as yours user added image

Uh, I thought this thread was dead user added image I can't remember how I did the lightning. I can't check it out either at the moment because my Maya computer is broken. I try to remember to answer asap...

Heh, I just checked the scene and the lighting was very simple. Just one slightly orange key light coming from back-left and one slightly blue fill light coming from right. Both are directional lights and both are casting shadows. Nothing special...

and which renderer did ya use..

i am totally unhappy with maya's built-in renderer.. thinknin' of renderman

That was rendered with maya's built-in renderer user added image It isn't that bad imo. I've seen worse...
