Multiple Emissions into Fluid Container

Hi,

I have a 3D container with an emitter in it. I'm trying to get the emitter to emit its initial "burst" several times during a given period, but I have not been able to figure out how to do so. I thought that maybe I could get it to do so by setting Cycle Emission to Frame then adjusting the Cycle Interval slider, but I don't see any difference when I do that.

I can accomplish the desired effect by duplicating the container and the emitter several times and setting the start frames to when I want the emissions to occur, but is there any way to get the same effect using only one emitter? Thanks in advance.
