Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character
I was wondering if anyone knew how to get a smooth looking liquid out of blobby surfaces? Think maple syrup or honey. I'm not much for Fluids, and most of the time blobby particles work well, but I just need to be able to get them to be really really smooth. I often play with the RADIUS, THRESHOLD and RATE but it always seems chunky an well, blobby, haha.
Changing the threshold should do quite fine, and if that doesn't work, tweak your amount of blobby surfaces and radii of them... and thres again :p . Also don't be afraid to crank up that number of threshold, just experiment in an empty scene what a really large number does with lots of blobby's . If you get the feeling your thres is ok, but it's deforming too much instead of smoothing out between blob's, use more particles .
