Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 1
This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Vertice Alignment

Hey

How do I align a bunch of vertices perfectly. Say I'm modeling a person and I'm doing the one half. Now all those edge vertices are not perfectly in line. How do I align them?

I think Kurt does it in the dog tut but I haven't got access to that at the moment.

Thanks

if you mean perfectly align them to an axis, then you can just select the vertices you want and snap to grid while moving them. (hold down x) If the vertices are moving as a group, then it's not working and you'll have to change an option in the move settings (modify>transformation tools>).
