water and heat haze

Hey all!

Just wondering if anyone knew of a good tutorial for heat haze and also for creating a gushing flow of water.

I don't know of a tutorials for the heat haze, but if I were going to try to create that effect, I would probably make a particle effect with the cloud setting. Something nice and thin with lots of texture, and then use that layer as a displacment layer of some sort in After Effects using some After Effects filters.
