attaching nurbs surfaces cleanly

i am trying to attach two seperate nurbs surfaces. one is a wing and the other is the side of the car body. i need to address this issue becuase they are not very uniform in structure and i am going to be using this operation later on in the project. i think i may need to rebuild the wings surface to match the UVs of the car side. But another thing i tried was to project the end curve of the wing (wing is an extruded manipulated surface) onto the side of the car, but when i lofted the end of the wings curve closest to the side of the car with the projected duplicated curve (deleted history also) it got all twisted, even after reversing curve and surface direction and such.

let me know if this is clear and you can help..
attached is a screen shot of what i am trying to do

thanks a bunchuser added image
