Mech tut
Hi everyone,
Just did the first 4 parts of the Assult Mech tutorial (which is, of course, great), but I ran out of points and my bank took away my creditcard (crazy summer, what else can I say ), so I guess I'll go acapella on the rest of it
Just got off work so I'll get started on it again after a quick shower and post screens soon...
But Kurt, if you're there (and anyone else who wants to throw in their two cents), just a quick question:
Why use smoothed polys instead of sub-d's? With sub-d's you can use Crease to make edges harder instead of having to add edges with Split Poly tool, which is, IMO, faster and you're model gets less dense... In fact, I've started modeling most of my stuff directly in sub-d's using the Poly Proxy Mode which lets you model the sub-d's as if they were polys...
But maybe it's just me...
