Editing custom attributes

I'm working on a file that was set up by another artist and he created all of these great controller to simplify editing the many objects in the scene. One problem is he added some custom attributes and assigned them min and max values, but I need to exceed the max value he set. I figured out that I could save out a *.ma file and edit the min/max in there but I figure there's got to be a way to do that in Maya. Anyone know where that is?

I don't think there's a way to do it in the Maya UI itself (I could be wrong since I haven't dug into 6 much). I just use the attached script to make changes to custom attributes. It's pretty straightforward.
