Shadows Through glasses

Hi there

I'm modeling a human character that is wearing some glasses. I created the glass with the Refraction Option enabled in the Rentrace Option for the shader. The Refraction Index for the glasses is at 1.33. The problem is that there is no shadows that goes through the glasses when Refractions is active. Please note that the both images are rendered with Raytracing enabled in the Globals Render Options.

On the image on the top, has no Refraction. The One at the bottom has Refraction enabled.

Is there a way to fix that? The shader I'm using is an phong.

Thanks
Salsero

hmmm. Thats really weird. What renderer are you using? I would suggest you use mental ray. If its not in the render globals you can find it in Window-->settings/preferences-->plugin manager and make sure mayatomr is loaded. Sorry if that isn't any help.

Hi

I'm actually using the basic Maya renderer. I'll give a shot with mental ray although it should work with any renderer.
