im busy with modeling a Honda S2000 with a tutorial and now i must dublicate the bumper but it isnt working

this is what ive got and now i need to duplicate the bumper and move it sideways and then add it to the layer but when i do duplicate face its not doing anything

can u guys help me plz user added image

sorry mate there is no picture displaying.. try uploading it again.

There's nothing normal about normals. In FACT i think the are abnormal.

Not quite sure what you're trying to do, can you post a link to the tutorial?

EDIT: I think that when you duplicate faces, the object they're duplicated from is still selected... Try holding down shift and drawing a selection box that selects both the car and the bumper... This should de-select the car mesh and select the new, duplicated bumper...

Did you check the "Seperate duplicated faces" in the options?

uhm yeah but still not working

but i dont understand it becouse its duplicating nothing i get the arrows to move it and the square to change size but its nothing just empty

ive tryed driffrent settings but what i get is still the arrow to scale/rotate/move the object with noting selected heres a
