couple questions :)

Q1:

Can fajls from maya 4.5 upload to maya 4.0
I have plugins for rendering which can`t work in maya 4.5.user added image

Q2:

Is it possible view total number of polygons in scenes which contents NURBS, poly and subd mixed.user added image

Q3:

Is there exist program for viewing images which can see maya .iff format.user added image

q2: i believe total number of polys only works with poly objects, tho i never tried with nurbs or subd's

While I don't know if the file swapping is different, if it's anything like what occured between Maya 3.0 and Maya 4.0, than, no, 4.5 file cannot be loaded into 4.0.
