Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Export to .dwg

Hey all, I've been modeling a theater in maya for an architect - mostly for beauty shots, but now he wants a .dwg file from a top down view. This is basically autocad stuff right? Is there any way to export a .dwg file or .pdf from Maya? With intersecting geometry this seems like a nightmare.

Thanks!

Not sure if this is what you are looking for:
go to Window-->Settings/Preferences-->Plug-in Manager and enable dwgTranslator.mll

You can now select what you would like o export, and under export options, you have also DWG file extencion.

Hope this helps.
