if this is, i am guessing it is, could this be used in game not just as an image?
most games i play even the recent ones seem to have much less detail, and most detail is done through textures than modeling.
So.. my question is.. would this kind of modeling usually used for still images?

This type of modeling is using for still images, short animations and maybe in movies. ..
