Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Walk Cycle Tut - Now what?

I couldn't find this question answered in a search, so I ask here:

I made my walk cycle, but he walks in place. To get this character to actually walk, instead of hover, do I have to move the whole character? How do you get the feet to stick successfuly?

Or do I need to go back, redo the walkcycle and this time actually move the feet to the appropriate locations?

Basically, I have a good walk cycle but now I need him to actually walk around the scene. Thanks!

Thanks for the help!

Is there a way to prevent foot slipage? My character's feet slide along path when they are suposed to be 'planted'. Thanks again.
