Hemispherical Maps

Hi all,

can someone point me to a good tutorial on creating hemispherical (full 360°) maps in Photoshop? I'm talking about using plain, simple texture files (2:1 ratio) for the source images, not photos taken from mirror balls or other fancy stuff.

I've found this one, but it's really not very well written. Have a look here: https://www.maxoncomputer.com/tutoria...ialID=54&site=

Someone with a better idea?

Well, I've tried that before, but I obviously didn't get the settings right somehow - the distortion never looked quite right.

Any hints on the correct settings, please?
