Idea for Tute

For Mike David and Kurt

I wasnt sure where to post this so...

As you guys may or may not know Ive been asked to do a tute (at last!!) Heres my sketches for the model.

Im going to do a 'final' front and side for the final for use in the tute itself, but I just needed some feedback. Do you think this will go down well with all the SM users. Im looking at doing a hyper real caricature of a stereo type GI. Your thoughts and suggestions guys would be appreciated.

Very nice sketch, but give him a few more guns like an M4 or something on his back. Unless you're modeling stuff like that later or however.

How big and expensive is it gonna be?

The beautiful thing about this site and what I feel sets it apart from others is that you can download as much or as little of a tutorial as you want.

Expensive? My guess is, just as with the rest of the tutorials here, that it will be more than worth it.

I agree completely.

I will add this though, as I have covered a fair bit of ground in the tute already in one particular area, I think it will please alot of people as Im covering the important fiddly areas that do drive most of us nuts when modelling characters and basically simplifying them (fiddly bits) so you can grasp the way things look alot quicker too.

Im trying to keep it loose and enjoyable to watch unlike some of the DVDs out by rival sites which come across as a little too scientific/clinical in some of the approaches toward the work. You wanna watch the tute not fall asleep at the helm.

So I'll be talking to you personally in your own home, watching over your shoulders!!user added image
