abdominals

Hey guys, I'm doing the abs and someone told me in my older models that I use too many edges to make a smoothe curve, so what are the techniques or tools could I use to make those abs without having to add too many edges(lines)? I do agree too, I've seen other ppl model with so little lines and it still gets that nice beautiful curve w/out numerous lines in polygon. How do I go about in doing this?

It is always better to get the general shape, following the curvature of the body, don't go over the top with polys, no too many divisions, but enough to get the curvature, then you can convert to sub d's and really get them looking awesome.
