Oh my...where does it end :)

https://www.theinquirer.net/?article=6086

some quotes:
Nvidia claimed its NV30 chip will be twice as fast as the Geforce 4.

It confirms it will have 125 million transistors, and the chip will be able to render 100 dinosaurs from Jurassic Park at 100 frames per second.

:wow:

Heh, it'll be like $400 or something when it comes out. And remember, it's a gaming card first and foremost.

200 quid compared to the 188(in pounds) is pretty impressive.. even if i do go on to get the monster... i would check the internet for benchmarks.... 100 frms/per second and such a complex scene... i dought it!!! clearly i will beleive only when i see it!!!

Thats OpenGL and/or Direct3D realtime renderings they're talking about which is handled mostly by the GPU. CPU handles only the software renderings like when you hit "render" in maya...

I believe nVidia is capable of delivering their promises. They've done it so many times before.
