Get Maya

hello all,
i would like to know where i can get the maya software(either online vendor or a URL of a site which is offering to download it). is maya an open source. i have limited knowledge on all this. so please let me know about all this.

maya costs 2000 dollars, and maya unlimited costs 6000 or so
