Compositing

Hey guys,

I wanted to get into compositing in Maya with live, and was wondering if anyone knew if you can composite in Final Cut pro or if it is just Shake.

I am not too familiar with the capabilities. I found that you can on Shake, but havent found anything on Final Cut. Final Cut is a lot less expensive and my school has it, so it would be great if I could find some resource.

Any help would be great!! Thanks guys!

You can probably do basic compositing in Final Cut, but it is primarily a video editing package, whereas Shake in a compositing package.
