This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with
complex objects.
the only kinds of particles that can be used in games are sprites. (except perhaps for programmaticly implemented pixel effects such as the points particle type or something).
The only particles I've personally worked with in games have all been done with proprietary effects editors that are made for the engine in question, and not done with maya's particle systems.
So, yes, emitters are used, but I've never used Maya's particle stuff in games at all.
