new to maya, problem with skeleton

hello!

i'm new both to this forum and to maya.

i study maya by it's tutorials, and im going prety well user added image
i'm in the skeleton tutorial in which i have to use the file skeletons.mb.
so i opened this file, and made the skeleton just like it is said in the tutorials, and when i want to rend it as a single frame, nothing is visible. only if i turn it into screenshot, which i dont want to.

another thing: how can i make the skin visible just like in the tutorial, where i can see the skin itself and not its wireframe.


it is realy important to me, and i'll apritiate any help :bow:

r u talking about a skeleton made by using the joint tool? - if so this wont render
this skin is what u built before make the skeleton it is basicly a mesh which the joints go inside

or do u have a scene where there are bones made from say polys?
if so do u have ne lights and at what intensity

if this dont help post up a screen grap of what u r tring to render


Now at SMU doing BSc 3D Computer Animation so its hard to get on here
