Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

unwanted vertices

I'm using the spit poygon tool and was wondering if there was any way of not creating multiple vertices when I spit from a vertice point. If I'm very accurate it doesn't create another vertice but often I'm not and I then have to go back and merge the vertices. Is there a quicker way?

in the tools options you can adjust the snap settings...that way it will automatically "connect" when you're close enough to the other vertex.
