Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Animating A Ramp With A Toon Line's Transparency/alpha Channel

I have a RAMP shader associated with the transparency of a shader assigned to an object that has Toon Lines assigned to it. I'm animating the RAMP to decrease the transparency over time. That's working great. However, the Toon Lines are still showing the outline of the whole object. Is there a way to assign the same RAMP to Toon Lines? This way the Toon Lines are revealed along with the object. (As I'm writing this, I'm realizing that maybe the answer lies in using the alpha channel somehow.) Anyway, any help would be appreciated.
