This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
ya know, i've never downloaded a mel script... but i think it belongs somewhere in the scripts folder. which one? no idea. you should have one right under your maya folder in my documents, and then also one under your X.X (enter your version number here) folder under the maya folder... just to play it safe, why not drop it in both before you open maya? *shrug*
NeoStrider has the basic idea. Any MEL scripts need to be in your "Scripts" folder in order for them to work. Accessing them is done either through a command in the script editor, or some scripts allow a shelf item to be created. Any script can be dragged onto the shelf, BTW...
Thanx guys very much for the help. I found the answer almost as soon as I posted the question. Sometimes ya just gotta get in there and play around with this stuff and you'll figure it out. Anyway, I'm pretty new as far as 3-D art goes but man.... I'M HOOKED!!! Maya ROCKS!! thanx again.
