Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

batch render problems

I have a scene with some nurbs objects, and when I goto render the scene everything works as expected.

However when I run a batch render for an animation, some of the surfaces render very strangely.

In this pic, the back of the legs should be one solid white colour, but in batch mode it comes out oddly fragmented.

(This is in Maya 8, from a scene that was originally done in Maya 6. In 6 I didn't have this problem)

ANyone runn into anything similar?

Funny that, I have the same prob but in Maya 6.0, though I just converted to polys then re rendered, not much of a true solution i know.

looks like a Maya to MR problem...
On some objects the shape is invisible but the transform is visible. I guess in 6 this was translated as an invisible object in MR, but in 8 its a visible obj.

Nothing some MEL can't fix, but still a pain.
