realistic skin

hai every one ..
I want to specialise in charector modeling ..But i am facing a serious problem with skin texturing and shading .. And also with the eyeball creation. Can any one help me on this... thank you ... aneesh

i'm sure there's a video tutorial on making a realistic eyeball in the gnomon workshop web site. Check it out. It's got lots of chapters and might take you a while to finish... consider the time you're going to use just to make an eyeball... and then consider how much more for the whole thing lol.... anyway.... i'll try to find something for the skin texturing & rendering

There are some plugins for skin texturing in the downloads section of the site.
Not sure if they work on the PL though.

Googled some eyeball-modeling tuts:

From those, you'll learn that the eye is not just a basic sphere...

As for texturing an eye, this one is insanely simple, but fairly decent:

Go to that link, and download the "making_eye_texture.rar" download. (Hope you can unzip .rar's...)
