This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

xsi to maya anyone know?

Hi im trying to export my xsi i scene to maya. I have nurb objects simple and 2 point lights. When i try to export it as a obj i get a message at the botton of xsi saying nothing to export. Im jsut stuck not sure what to do

Coming from XSI to Maya, you need to find the fbx exporter for XSI. This will allow a proper import into Maya

cant export nubrs objects. [as far as any other packages are concerned i think]

crap well the reason i ask is because i had to make a egg and stand for 3d animation in maya using only nurbs. Well maya wasnt being nice and would give me a expection just in time debugger error and close on start up. So my only choice i had was to do it in xsi. I didnt have much time either

i tried the fbx and it wouldnt work, told me the etc file path was incomplete task once i hit convert

u cant export nurbs period....

just convert to poly then export

[maybe with polytrans..]
