particles

hey all,

i am starting to learn particles / vfx
so i though i would look at teh fluid examples given

but wen i rendered i get this blotchy mess. i have render this before and it was fine
it happens to most of the examples and only like 2 work prop
some time ill open maya and it will be fine

wen i import i get the message in the command line . error some parts are (or need to be) cached please start at beging of timeline or something similar


im pretty sure its not my gfx card (firegl v5100) as i have updated its drivers to support maya

ne of u guys know y?
