Spartan's Helmet

I'm modelling a suit of Spartan armor for an art project to put into my AP portfolio. This is going to be meshed with an entire suit of digital armor that will be super-imposed on top of me as if I was wearing it. Easy enough to tell, it's not finished, but it is getting there.

Please critique, but most of all, enjoy!

Nice subject matter there Sparticus,

nice start. It's still in the very early stages so I can't really add any more than that.

I made a helmet a while back (see image) and look forward to seeing how this turns out.

Take it easy,

Mat.

Being of Saprtan ancestry myself, I can see taking an interest in your project, Sparticus! The basic shape is coming along nicely! My one suggestion is when you've got the final shape down, bevel all of the edges!

Keep us posted!

I think the helmet needs to be a little thinner. Shape looks really great.

I tried that and it actually pulled something wierd on me. I don't know if it's something wrong with the bevel settings or not... I'll have to post a pic of what happens when I do when I get to school tomorrow.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions and that Helmet rules mat! Keep it up!

Here's the breast-plate for the suit. I'll just update the whole armor as I go. Obviously, it has a lot of tuning to do, but I'll work on it. If you have any suggestions for improvment, on anything, let me know.

You'll probably do this anyway when you tweek but maybe make it look a little less pinched in the center of the chest.
