Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Mech Warrior extrude problem

Hi, I am using the mechwarrior tutorial and I can use extrude normally without a problem . However after using 'freeze transformations' if I use the local/world blue circle icon to centre my extrude, the extrude tool shifts to o,o,o even if I modify>centre my pivot and is not centering in my polygon and therefore cannot use the extrude tool as I need to.
Any ideas would be very greatful.

Thanks,
Moon:

Hey there Moon,

try hitting the relevant manipulator key (w,e or r) when in extrude mode rather than the blue circle thing. I've found, on occasion, that solves the problem.

Hope this helps,

Mat.
